About the role

As the Head Chef at the Red Lion Hotel in Elizabeth North, SA, you will be responsible for leading and managing the hotel's kitchen operations. This is a full-time position based in Elizabeth North, SA 5113. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen staff management to ensure the highest quality dining experience for our guests.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement menus
• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food ordering, inventory management, and quality control
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff
• Ensure all food preparation and service adhere to strict health and safety standards
• Collaborate with the hotel management team to enhance the overall guest experience
• Monitor food costs and make adjustments to maintain profitability

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
• Strong working knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with hotel management and guests
