The Role

The Onboarding & Training Cell (OTC) is responsible for the onboarding of new vetting staff in preparation for them being assigned to a vetting team as well as the vetting training and development program. Roles within the OTC support the Senior Manager Capability in ensuring Divisional goals and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & Training - Design, update, and deliver onboarding programs, instruct new Vetting Analysts (VAs) on their roles, and ensure alignment with Omni Vetting Standards.
  • Supervision & Support - Provide day-to-day guidance, set performance expectations, assess progress, and facilitate the transition of new VAs into vetting teams.
  • Process & Resource Management - Ensure VAs have necessary access and resources, coordinate case allocations, identify process improvements, and report on resource gaps and recruitment needs.
  • Collaboration & Compliance - Work with leadership to maintain operational efficiency, contribute to high-performance culture, support strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

Essential Requirements

The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Hold and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills

In addition, this role will require:

  • Proven ability in collaborating with colleagues or employees (including in remote locations), and fostering positive relationships
  • A Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting)
  • Continued inclusion on the relevant Specified Personnel List (SPL)
