The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 45 years. When we first opened our doors in 1978, BRAMS was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia.
We deliver comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support to more than 6500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Broome region.

About the role
The People and Culture Officer plays a key role in supporting employee compliance and wellness initiatives at BRAMS. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring training requirements are met, conducting timely audits, and coordinating wellness programs that foster a positive and supportive workplace culture. Benefits
- Competitive Salary of $75,000 - $85,000 per annum depending on experience
- 6 Weeks Annual Leave
- Annual remote allowance of $1,300 per annum

About you
To be successful in this role, you must address the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in administrative roles, preferably in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organistation.
- Previous experience in human resources, workplace wellness, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of employee compliance requirements, including record-keeping and training tracking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate staff.
- Ability to take initiative and develop innovative wellness initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing employee files and audits.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
