The role
New England Brewing Co. has undergone considerable growth over the past 18 months, and we now need a local sales and marketing all-rounder to work with us to get to the next level. This is a broad role covering all aspects of our consumer and B2B efforts. Social media, web, product strategy, all the way to sales activations, relationship management and events. It’s a small business – exposure to all moving parts is guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Manage email campaigns to wholesale and direct to home customers
- Work with the brewing and sales team to manage new product development workflow
- Oversee events at the brewery door and our attendance at beer festivals
- Manage our social media content and engagement on all channels
- Develop our online offering and manage our website
- Develop collateral and formulate activations for seasonal product launches
- Provide support to our sales efforts outside the New England North-West
- Manage a sales visits calendar and engage with local venues on the road to be a point of contact for product queries and support
- Manage, track and resolve issues with distribution of orders and maintain relationships with relevant freight providers
- Travel to customers covering a large area of the region
Skills and Experience:
A range of experience and skills will be considered however the below is what we are searching for:
- Experience in a sales or retail role, preferably in liquor and/or hospitality.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop and the full Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with different software including sales, inventory and marketing such as Mailchimp
- Experience working on product activations and event management
- A strong track record of building lasting relationships and working independently towards set goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full drivers licence
What would really set you apart:
- A love of hospitality, drinks and food
- A knowledge of beer styles
- An understanding of the Independent Brewing Industry in Australia and its opportunities and threats
- A tertiary qualification in a related field from science to design.
You must be located in the New England North-West to be considered for this role and be able to conveniently commute to the brewery in Uralla. Part-time and flexible arrangements will be offered to the right candidate.
