About the business and the role

Here at Urban X Steel, we design and manufacture custom steel windows and doors and bespoke architectural steel features for residential & commercial projects.

We are seeking a hard working, reliable and trustworthy Glazier for an ongoing role based out our factory in North Geelong for an immediate start. This is a full time role of 40 hours per week, with some additional overtime available and monthly RDOs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Installing doors, windows, balustrading & architectural steel work throughout the Geelong, Ballarat & Melbourne region
• Glazing of steel framed windows & doors – must be confident in measuring, installing, caulking glass & perimeters
• General housekeeping & maintenance

Requirements:

• White Card
• 4+ years in the building/manufacturing industry (desirable)
• Current VIC driving license and own transport is essential
• Prior experience in a similar environment
• Physical fitness (heavy lifting and manual handling required)
• Confidently and safely able to use hand/power tools
• Confidently able to read drawings/plans
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional work ethic and reliability
• Must have well developed organization and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and understanding of building and construction methods, materials, and tools
• Ability to adhere to and enforce strict OH&S protocols and guidelines

Remuneration will be based on the successful candidates' ability and experience.
