Responsibilities:

Provide individualised piano lesson to students of all ages and skill levels in a private setting.

Develop customised lesson plans based on each student's abilities, goals, and interests.

Teach music theory, technique, sight-reading, and repertoire appropriate to each student's level.

Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

Prepare students for performances, exams, and competitions if desired.

Maintain a professional and organised teaching space.

Communicate effectively with students and/or parents regarding scheduling, expectations, and progress.

Requirements:

Proficiency in piano performance with formal training (degree in music or equivalent experience preferred).

Previous experience in teaching piano, preferably in a one-on-one setting.

Strong knowledge of music theory and teaching methodologies.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs.

Reliable and professional with strong time management skills.

Access to a piano for demonstrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience preparing students for exams (e.g., ABRSM or AMEB) or competitions.

Ability to teach additional musical styles such as jazz, contemporary, or improvisation.
