Role Overview:

As a Field Service Technician at Johnston’s GlassMaster, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our clients receive top-tier service and maintenance for their commercial dishwashers and glasswashers. You’ll work directly with our Service Manager and Owner, and your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing & Diagnostics: Conducting repairs and preventative maintenance at client sites across Sydney, ensuring the smooth operation of dishwashers and glasswashers.
• Installation & Equipment Delivery: Transporting and installing new equipment, delivering detergents and spare parts, and handling basic plumbing and electrical work as needed.
• Refurbishment: Get hands-on with refurbishing machines at our Thornleigh workshop, readying them for resale.
• Service Vehicle Management: Keeping your company vehicle well-stocked, organised, and in top shape for daily tasks.
• Team Collaboration: Supporting your fellow technicians and ensuring high safety and quality standards are always met.

Requirements:

• Experience in a relevant role, with at least 1 year of continuous service with a single employer.
• A valid driver’s license (manual or automatic).
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Availability for 15-40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm), with occasional Saturday shifts (8:00am - 2:00pm) at an overtime rate.
• Legally authorised to work in Australia and available for an in-person interview.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience with fault finding, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Technical proficiency with hand tools, drills, grinders, etc.
• Experience in commercial refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or general mechanical work.
• Familiarity with mechanical pumps and motors is a bonus.
• A Restricted Electrical Work (Disconnect/Reconnect) certificate would be advantageous or the desire to obtain one on the job.
• Strong navigation skills for efficient travel around Sydney.
