We are currently seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Analyst to join our team and help optimise our workforce in the aged care and NDIS sectors.
Position Overview
People First Workforce is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workforce Planning Analyst to join our team and ensure the efficient management and planning of our workforce. Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in analysing workforce trends, developing forecasting models, and providing data-driven insights to help us align our staffing levels with organisational needs.
As the Workforce Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the development of strategic workforce planning initiatives, optimising scheduling and rostering processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with management, HR, and operations teams to ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time to deliver the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities
- Workforce Analytics and Forecasting: Analyse workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and optimisation opportunities. Develop and maintain workforce forecasting models to predict future staffing needs.
- Scheduling and Rostering: Collaborate with the rostering team to ensure optimal scheduling and staffing levels in line with operational requirements and regulations.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Support workforce planning initiatives, including recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies, to meet the demands of the organisation.
- Compliance and Reporting: Monitor compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and industry best practices. Generate regular reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Finance, HR, operations, and leadership teams to ensure staffing aligns with business needs. Communicate key workforce insights and recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising workforce efficiency and employee satisfaction.
What You Bring to the Role
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in workforce planning, data analysis, or human resources analytics (preferably in healthcare or aged care).
- Strong proficiency in workforce management software and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in aged care and the NDIS sectors is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
- The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required).
- National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months) or willingness to apply for one.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply for one).
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Minimum 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.
