Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Procurement Officer to join the organisation. Based in Parramatta, the successful candidate will work across the Goods & Services and Infrastructure frameworks, with 4 main streams under these. Previous NSW Government procurement/sourcing experience is highly desired.

Role Title: Procurement Officer

Contract Length: ASAP start, for a 6 Months role with a chance of extension

Daily Pay: $550 - $600 + Super per day.

Location: Parramatta, (2150). Office (1-2 days per week in office)/WFH hybrid.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage and coordinate the end-to-end sourcing activities for the construction category, including professional services such as Architects, Engineers.
• Offer specialised procurement sourcing services for Asset Management and Infrastructure projects to guide procurement planning and sourcing decisions, ensuring cost-effective, value-for-money outcomes in line with legislative requirements and NSW Government procurement goals.
• Oversee the tender sourcing phase, including procurement planning, development, and risk management activities, to meet business and operational needs and achieve best practice procurement results.
• Develop and manage sourcing strategies to meet business needs, generate savings, and ensure compliance.
• Advise stakeholders on procurement sourcing to support best practices and policy directions.
• Identify and manage procurement risks to meet obligations and maximise opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate sourcing activities to meet governance requirements and support continuous improvement.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Extensive Sourcing / Procurement / Contract Management Experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Government procurement policies, panels, systems, procedures and legislation including probity is desirable.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at tight timeframe running at different stages.
• Professional Services experience is highly valuable.
• Excellent skills in MS Excel are necessary.

Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area and willing to travel to Parramatta as needed. Additionally, you must possess existing full working rights within Australia.
