The Role

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the processes associated with the day-to-day functions of the sales floor and the Community Donation Centre. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring store performance meets financial targets and key metrics, leading and supervising multiple teams led by Retail Supervisors and a CDC Supervisor, planning staffing needs and coordinating recruitment, providing training, coaching, and candid feedback to team members, delivering a positive customer and donor experience, maintaining a respectful and values-driven workplace, and ensuring compliance with safety and loss prevention policies. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will fulfil their responsibilities and oversee the entire store as acting Store Manager.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in results-driven retail store management or industrial management.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organise, execute, and manage the work of others.
• Sound reasoning, decision-making, and independent judgement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
