Optimum Movement is a leading occupational therapy provider in SE Qld operating from clinics in Brisbane (Cleveland), Gold Coast (Varsity Lakes) and the Sunshine Coast (Minyama). We offer OT services to children, teens and young adults. We also provide tele health services, mobile services and regular weekly input to a number of schools.

About Us

  • Optimum Movement are a registered NDIS provider.
  • We provide OT services to clients from birth to young adults who have a variety of therapy needs.
  • We have a team of 18 OTs across SE Qld, with 4 experienced OTs at our Minyama clinic.
  • Our clinic in Minyama is open Monday - Friday and we offer extended hours so we can offer flexible hours to both our families and therapists.
  • We work both in the clinic, school and home environments to ensure the best therapy for our clients.
  • Therapists have full administrative support through both our receptionists and clinic manager.
  • We see a wide range of clients both with and without a diagnosis which may include cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, ADHD, ASD, Down Syndrome, learning difficulties, global developmental delay, developmental co-ordination disorder and sensory processing difficulties.
  • We strive to be goal directed and evidenced based. We are heavily CO-OP influenced.
  • We have a keen interest in pursuing professional development both through external courses and quarterly full team training days.

The successful candidates must have:

  • A demonstrated passion for working in paediatrics
  • Be enthusiastic and engaging
  • Full registration with AHPRA
  • A strong history of pursuing professional development particularly in evidence based practice
  • Demonstrate competence in a range of goal setting tools and outcome measures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exemplary work ethic and time management skills
  • Team work skills and be enthusiastic about learning and contributing to the learning of our great team
  • A drivers' license and car (preferred but not essential)

Either part time or full time hours will be considered for the successful OT.

In return we will offer you:

  • An experienced therapy team to mentor & support your career development
  • A genuinely experienced leadership structure with our senior OTs having more than 12 years experience and our team leaders having more than 6 years experience to learn from.
  • Weekly - fortnightly individual supervision depending on experience.
  • Open door “team support” for 3-4 hours per week
  • $2000 for a professional development budget (pro rata)
  • 7 days of paid PD days per year - 3 days for external courses (pro rata) and 4 paid days for internal PD
  • A low KPI target of 25 hours per week for a full time position
  • Bimonthly journal club, bimonthly peer supervision
  • A fun and well resourced clinic environment

  • A great salary package dependent on your experience ($88 000 - $108 000 + Superannuation + PD Allowance)
