The Role

Be part of Hedland's premier live entertainment and movie venue as Theatre & Cinema Operations Officer. Within this role you will play an integral role in delivering culture in comfort while providing an accessible place for everyone in Hedland to experience all the creative industries

Your responsibilities will include the effective running of the operational requirements and activities of the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema. You will have an opportunity to work closely with the Senior Arts and Culture Officer in implementing theatre programming and building strong, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes overseeing the administrative requirements of the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema. This includes but is not limited to purchase orders, contract management, invoicing and staff rostering.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated understanding of the requirements associated with overseeing the operations of a community facility. You pride yourself on your well-developed customer service and communication skills and can demonstrate a strong leadership, business systems and financial management background.

Please be aware that this position does require the successful candidate to be available to work evenings and weekends.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Current 'C' class drivers license
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
