POWER STATION OPERATOR

Powerwest provides power to a gold mine 105km south of Pannawonica and is seeking an experienced Power Station Operator to join our team.

• FIFO Roster (14 days on, 14 days off with some flexibility required)

Position Summary:

Your primary job will be to maintain the day-to-day operations of our remote site with duties that will include:

• Power station operations (Cummins QST30 diesel generators)
• Routine and breakdown maintenance of power generation and auxiliary equipment
• Servicing the generators
• Provide detailed reports during routine maintenance tasks and unplanned maintenance events
• Managing and adhering to OHSE policies and procedures and maintaining the site to ensure it is clean and tidy
• After hour call outs to attend the power station for faults / breakdowns
• Maintain accurate running hour reports, energy readings as required.

About You

• Relevant Trade Qualifications (or higher) - Australian recognised
• WA electrical licence
• Track record in operating and/or repairing diesel power stations.
• Preferably have previous working experience as an operator
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills (Office 365) are required
• Current First Aid / CPR certificate
• Current WA Drivers Licence
• Current Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue date) or be able to obtain one.
• Be able to pass a full comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug test.
