Maxwell Recruitment & Training are a leading local labour hire provider, Registered Training Organisation and Group Training Organisation providing real-world training for tradespeople, labourers and admin staff & now Apprentices, in manufacturing, mining services, other engineering trades and construction for over a decade.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Trade Assistant to join a dynamic workshop team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist fitters and boilermakers with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of various components and equipment.
• Provide general support in workshop operations, including cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Prepare materials and components for fabrication and welding.
• Handle, move, and store materials safely and efficiently.
• Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols.
• Maintain a tidy and organised work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of workshop tools, equipment, and general safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials as needed.
• A strong focus on safety and quality.
• Previous experience in a similar industrial or mechanical workshop environment is preferred.
