Senior Electrician – Team Leader & Trainer
Create Security is seeking an experienced Senior Electrician with excellent mechanical aptitude to join our team in a leadership role. If you have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, including master control wiring, switching, PLCs, relays, and experience with low and extra low voltage work, along with a passion for leading and training a team, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to step into a senior position where you'll lead a team while engaging with complex electrical systems and mechanical components. You’ll be involved in installations, maintenance, and repairs, as well as providing hands-on training and technical guidance to junior staff. A key requirement for this role is strong mechanical aptitude, as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues is essential.

About the Role
As a Senior Electrician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Being a Qualified Technical Person (QTP) and endorsed on the company’s electrical licence
- Leading and mentoring a team, offering guidance and training
- Installing, servicing, and repairing high security gate systems (e.g., cantilever gates, swing gates, track gates, and boom gates)
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults
- Overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure system efficiency
- Providing expert support in the installation and servicing of electrical control systems
- Managing and performing the warehouse fit-out of electrical systems
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
Requirements
- Qualified Technical Person (QTP) with an endorsed electrical licence in Queensland
- White card and manual driver’s licence
- Strong knowledge and experience with master control wiring, switching, PLCs, and relays
- Strong background in low and extra low voltage work.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and train a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong focus on quality workmanship and safety
- Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a good attendance record
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Successful applicants will undergo a police check and drug and alcohol testing
