Our client is looking for an Arborist to oversee and manage the health, safety, and aesthetic value of trees in public spaces. This includes monitoring tree health, performing tree care, and ensuring compliance with local ordinances related to urban forestry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal to ensure public safety and tree health.
• Diagnose and treat tree diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Conduct tree planting initiatives and oversee the care of newly planted trees.
• Maintain an inventory of trees on public land, including parks, streets, and other municipal properties.
• Promote and contribute to environmental sustainability through tree planting and green initiatives.
• Conduct safety inspections of trees in public spaces, identifying potential hazards such as dead branches, diseased trees, or unstable roots.
• Recommend and implement tree removals or corrective measures to mitigate risks.
• Ensure that all tree work complies with local ordinances and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit reports on tree health, maintenance activities, and forest management programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science (required)

Skills and Experience

• Experience in arboriculture or a related field
• Strong understanding of tree care techniques, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience with tree planting, pruning, and pest management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation.
• Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance monitoring.
