The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company. The BDM will be tasked with identifying, contacting, building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, and working with internal teams to create and execute sales strategies.

This is not a Work from Home role and is office based in Glen Waverley. This is an active BDM role with the incumbent expected to meet potential clients in person, developing business opportunities and closing deals to meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new business opportunities through various outreach means, including but not limited to; networking, LinkedIn and other social platforms, email, warm and cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients
  • Contact, build and maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers
  • Creating and executing sales strategies to increase revenue to meet KPI and targets
  • Collaborating with internal teams to identify new products or services to offer clients
  • Managing and reporting on the sales pipeline, strategy, and effectiveness
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and market conditions
  • Travel for business meetings and networking events as required
  • This is not an account management role, it is dedicated business development
  • Growth strategies and plans, customer needs
  • Writing business proposal and presenting to potential customers
  • Provide specialist advise of products and services

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, including outreach techniques
  • Proven sales experience and track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Experience in the Branded apparel industry would be an advantage but not essential
