About the Role

As a Survey Manager working on Gold Coast Light Rail projects, you will be responsible for executing and supervising surveying tasks on-site. The role includes collecting and analysing survey data and ensuring that accurate measurements and calculations are obtained. These activities will span across different phases of the project such as design, delivery and completions.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and take charge in leading and mentoring a team of field surveyors, overseeing their work to ensure accuracy and compliance whilst also providing guidance and support. A critical part of the role will be the ability to work closely with other project stakeholders, such as engineers and design consultants, to ensure that surveying requirements are met and that the project progresses smoothly.

Responsibilities of the role include

• Accurately set out survey information,
• Implement correct Survey Procedures consistently during the course of the survey works for the project duration
• Have a strong attitude and awareness of safety regulations and requirements
• Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with supervisors and engineers on all matters relating to the construction activities
• Verification of survey control data sitewide
• Management, storage and archiving of project survey data
• Production of quality reports, drawings and sketches to project specifications

To be successful in this key role, you must have

• Demonstrated experience in engineering surveying and management
• Hold a recognised qualification in surveying from a recognised institution (minimum diploma)
• Worked on similar projects in surveying management
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership credentials.
