About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to operate as our Leading Hand on a fixed term contract at Caneland Shopping Centre. You will be supported by a team from Brisbane that will be scheduled during the project but we are wanting local oversight.

Work commences 24th March and is due to complete on the 2nd June (10 weeks). A Project Manager from our Head Office in Brisbane will work closely with you to ensure all OH&S, site inductions, material ordering, variation management and client communication is delivered to a high standard.

Project Scope

Installing 100 meters of cable tray and lid support on the shopping centre roof.

Installing 100 meters of suspended tray through the Rebel Sports area.

Completing the installation of submains for the Rebel Sports tenancy.

Demolishing outdated cabling systems and organizing the existing systems in a recently vacated space by RACQ and Target.

Installing power and isolators for HVAC systems.

Installing a new DB and MSSB.

Managing the project, including reporting progress to the head office in Brisbane.

Overseeing and managing other employees and apprentices.

To be successful, you must have:

- Current Queensland Electrical License

- Good knowledge of AS300

- Current Communications Open Cablers License

- Ability to work unsupervised, identify faults and plan jobs

- Good communication skills and experience with Job Management software applications

It is desirable to possess the following:

- Up-to-date CPR/LVR certificate

- 4 years of post-trade experience

- Experience with Microsoft Office
