Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Internal Sales Representative with a solid background in building, construction, engineering, or estimating. This role involves leveraging your industry knowledge to drive sales, support our clients, and enhance our market presence. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of building products and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including contractors, builders, and engineers, to understand their needs and provide effective solutions, collaborating between the estimating team and the client needs.
Product Expertise: Use your background in building, construction, or engineering to offer knowledgeable advice on our products, ensuring clients receive the best solutions for their projects.
Sales Support: Assist in lead generation, prepare quotes, and follow up on opportunities. Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales effectively.
Order Processing: Handle order entry, tracking, and management with precision. Collaborate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Customer Service: Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Liaise with the estimating team to provide high quality estimates to clients.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, estimating department, and other internal teams to ensure a coordinated approach to client service and project fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Building, Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in internal sales, with a strong preference for backgrounds in building, construction, engineering, or estimating.
- Deep understanding of building materials, construction processes, and project estimating.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and client service.
