Albion Park Early Learning Centre Burdekin Drive is a 28-place service located in Albion Park. We are a forward and progressive Childcare service that provides exceeding quality care and education for children 0-5 years.

About the role

• Child Care Centre Part time Cook
  • 4hrs a day 9 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Passion for cooking
• The preparation and service of meals to children including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
• Preparing meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Liaising with parents for the purpose of menu planning and dietary needs of children.
• Ensuring the safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drink.
• Assist in ordering food supplies in consultation with centre supervisor.
• Maintaining required kitchen records.
• Receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Checking use by dates for all products used in the kitchen.
• Serving meals, doing dishes and cleaning kitchen.
• Create seasonal Menus
• Liaising with Council Food Inspectors as required.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent organisational skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

• We are ideally looking for a candidate who has a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (experience will be considered).
• Relevant food handling certificates.
• Current Working with Children Check.
