About the role

We are seeking an experienced Barista/FOH Supervisor to join our team at Evoke Bakery in Curtin ACT. This is a casual role with the opportunity to work in a vibrant café environment. As the Barista/FOH Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while overseeing the daily operations of the front-of-house team and supporting the Customer Service Manager.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to customers
• Supervise and train the front-of-house team to ensure efficient and friendly customer service
• Manage the daily operations of the front-of-house, including opening/closing procedures, cash management, and stock control
• Ensure the café maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers
• Provide feedback and support to the front-of-house team to help them develop their skills
• Assist with other duties as required to support the smooth running of the café

What we're looking for

• Experience as a barista, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and service
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the hospitality industry
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to efficiently manage daily operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the team
• Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in opening and closing a small food service venue
• Availability on weekends and public holidays
