We are looking for experienced Track Maintenance Operators (TMO) interested in working on the Sydney Metro - Western Airport Rail project as ongoing casuals.

Successful applicants will help build and maintain critical rail systems in the largest rail project in Australia, working under Rhomberg!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate track maintenance machinery
  • Perform routine track maintenance and repairs
  • Inspect rail conditions and identify potential issues
  • Maintain and service track maintenance machines
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with your team to achieve goals
What You Will Need to Succeed

To thrive as a Track Maintenance Operator (TMO), you'll need:

  • Valid safe work certifications
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • In-depth machine knowledge
  • Valid driver's licence and current White Card
  • Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
  • CAT1 Medical clearance
Desirable:
  • Prior experience with various track maintenance machinery
  • Formal trade qualification (electrical or mechanical)
  • Familiarity with rail industry safety standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Working Environment

This role requires working in diverse outdoor environments, including remote areas and live rail corridors. The job may involve night shifts, weekend work, and travel to different project sites. You'll be part of a close-knit, safety-focused team ensuring rail infrastructure is kept to the highest standards.
