Would you like to work for a community club? The Burleigh Leagues Club are looking for a full time Duty Manager, who is self-motivated and displays a positive attitude, for their amazing venue.
The Duty Manager is expected to lead by example and will use their prior knowledge within the hospitality industry to ensure all employees grow. In conjunction with the Venue Manager, the Duty Manager will be committed to the smooth running of the Burleigh Leagues Club and be responsible for the face-to-face operations required within a licensed club. This is a position of responsibility therefore requires a dedicated person who has strong attention to detail.
We have a great rotational roster on offer, that includes a 4-day week, and a mixture of days, nights and weekends to give you work life balance.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the management, control, safety, and effective operation of the venue including the compliance and management of cash transactions, privacy of information and public liability protection.
- Ensure the Club is operating efficiently and is compliant with the Clubs policies.
- Ensure staff are trained in areas of the Club.
- Report on departmental performance and operations status to the Venue Manager.
- Reinforce and adhere to workplace health and safety policies and proactively contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Continually promote marketing and promotional activities to customers.
- Ensure all club equipment is always maintained and in good working order.
- Always ensure security of machines, stock, and money.
- The ability to manage staff effectively.
It is essential that you have:
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager.
- Current QLD RSA and RSG.
- Current QLD RMLV or ability to obtain.
- Approved Managers License & CLO or ability to obtain.
- Extensive knowledge of Liquor and Gaming Machine Act and AML/CTF Act.
- Knowledge and experience in Keno, TAB, Gaming and Bar.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
- Experience with managing staff.
