$72,387.14 - $74,044.97 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience
Opportunity:
The City of Albany’s Civil Works Team is looking for an experienced, quality and safety focused Grader Operator.
Reporting to the Civil Supervisor – Rural Maintenance, this role will see you responsible for undertaking construction and maintenance works using a grader in a manner which complies with the City’s specified work standards. The Civil Works Team perform a wide range of tasks including road installation and maintenance, drainage, concrete works, signage, road sweeping, fencing and general maintenance.
About You:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Excellent interpersonal skills,
- Basic oral, written and numeracy skills
- A ‘HR Class’ drivers licence;
- Previous experience working in a civil construction team;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience specialist plant operator (grader operator); and
- The ability to train others in the use of a grader.
- A Certificate III in Civil Construction (desirable)

About City of Albany
Albany and its surrounds was home to the Menang Noongar people, the area was called Kinjarling which means "the place of rain". Archaeological excavations have found evidence of sites dating back over 18,000 years.
The first recorded sighting of the King George sound was in 1627. The following year the first map the south coast was produced which shows a bay and islands that is possibly King George sound. It was another 164 years before Commander George Vancouver on board Discovery sailed into the sound and named it for King George III.
