Casual HR Driver – Multi-Drop Deliveries

We are currently seeking experienced HR drivers for a casual role with guaranteed hours and overtime opportunities.

Depot Location: Thornton

Employment Type: Casual

Guaranteed Pay: 9 hours per day (overtime available)

Duration: Minimum 8 months (with potential for full-time employment based on customer needs)

Hourly Rate: $38 per hour (negotiable for highly experienced drivers seeking a change)

Award: This role falls under the Road Transport and Distribution Award [MA000038] as a Transport Worker Grade 4.

Award Wage: The award wage is $32.65 per hour; however, this role offers significantly higher pay and is targeted at experienced drivers

Phone: Drivers will be required to use their own phone for POD's, you will be reimbused $60 per month.

Overtime Rates:

Monday to Saturday (first 2 hours): x1.28

Monday to Saturday (after 2 hours): x1.68

Truck: 2023 Iveco S-Way, 27.6t GVM, 14 pallet, 9m flatbed truck

Work Hours: Approximately 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Qualifications & Experience:

Our ideal candidates will possess the following:

HR Licence: A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence.

Multi-Drop Experience: At least 1 year of multi-drop delivery experience.

Clean Driving Record: No major offences in the past five years.

Clear Criminal Record: A clean criminal history for the past five years.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of HR driving experience.

Load Restraint Knowledge: Must have prior experience handling load restraints and securing goods—no training provided.

PPE Requirement: As deliveries are made to construction sites, drivers must wear appropriate PPE, including steel cap boots, long pants, and a high-visibility shirt.

National Driver Work Diary: A current and up-to-date National Driver Work Diary is required.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Multi-Drop Deliveries: Handle approximately 5-10 deliveries per day with efficiency and accuracy, throughout Newcastle & Central Coast.

POD System Operation: Use a smartphone-based Proof of Delivery (POD) system for tracking deliveries.

Load Restraints: Ensure goods are secured safely throughout transport.

Daily Collection: Conduct afternoon collections from Sydney depots and return to Thornton.

Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude toward customers.

Freight Handling: Occasionally assist with unloading freight as needed.
