About the role
We are seeking a payroll guru. Someone who is a skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team at Dananni Haulage in High Wycombe. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for managing the company's payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payments to our 40 - 45 valued employees, as well as reporting and payment to the relevant government agencies.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality and accuracy at all times is a must.
- Processing, recording, payment of and reporting weekly and fortnightly payroll for all employees, including calculations of wages, salaries, deductions, benefits, entitlements and superannuation
- Onboarding, maintaining and updating employee information in the payroll system ( MYOB )
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulations on a regular basis
- Reconciling payroll accounts and generating detailed reports for PAYG reporting
- Answering employee inquiries about payroll, benefits, and leave entitlements
- Providing reports to management fortnightly or as needed
- Additional accounts department tasks as required
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a payroll officer role, preferably within the TRANSPORT industry
- Strong understanding of your obligations as a payroll officer, the payroll legislation, awards and regulations, including tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements. IF YOU DONT KNOW PAYROLL, PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
- Proficient in using payroll software and spreadsheet applications (e.g. MYOB & Microsoft Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with total transparency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team but be able to adapt in what can be a rapidly changing environment. The ability to self regulate, set tasks and achieve them is a must.
- Strong communication and recording skills.
- Punctuality, good work ethics and attitude will be in your favor.
