About the Opportunity

Randstad is partnering with a leading waste management provider, offering an exciting opportunity for Casual Waste Offsiders to join their team immediately. If you enjoy active, hands-on work in an essential industry, this role is for you!

📍 Location: Mascot
💰 Pay Rate: $41.09 per hour + allowances + penalties
⏰ Shifts: Monday to Friday | Early starts between 3 AM - 5 AM
⏳ Minimum Paid Hours Per Shift: 7.6 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Collect kerbside residential waste - handling general waste, recycling, and green waste.
• Run behind waste trucks and safely load bins into rear/side loaders.
• Operate bin lifters and compactors to ensure smooth and efficient waste collection.
• Follow strict safety protocols and use PPE correctly.
• Engage with the public professionally when required.
• Adapt to route changes and special collection requests as directed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

✅ Experience in waste collection or labour-intensive outdoor work (preferred but not essential).
✅ Reliable transport to and from the depot for early morning starts.
✅ Physical stamina - ability to run/walk 15-20 km per shift and lift bins 25-30 kg.
✅ Strong teamwork and communication skills, working efficiently alongside drivers.
✅ Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.
✅ Availability for early starts and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
