The focus of this role is clinical and includes creating a calm and positive experience for our patients during dental treatment.

Duties include:

• Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our patients
• Chair side assistance to dentist or oral health therapist during dental procedures
• Maintaining and implementing infection control systems
• Instrument processing and sterilisation
• Equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Management of treatment records and x-rays
• Stock management
• Implementing practice management systems as part of a team
• Attendance and active involvement in staff meetings, training sessions and staff development programmes
• General cleaning of practice rooms

Needed for this role:

• Availability to work full-time each week on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (job-sharing the role part-time may be considered) .
• Clearly spoken English with a friendly and professional manner
• Willingness to smile, chat with patients and make them feel at ease
• Reliable, enthusiastic and well-presented
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small team
• Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced setting
• Dental assisting experience
• Basic computer skills

Good to have but not essential:

• Cert III in Dental Assisting
• Knowledge of dental practice management software (training provided as needed)
