About the role

We are currently seeking a Full Time Coordinator that is responsible for overseeing the portfolios of Quality, Risk and Compliance, including audit and continuous improvement. Working in partnership with stakeholders, the Coordinator ensures that opportunities for continuous improvement are identified, compliance is maintained, audits are completed, and risks are mitigated. This role is pivotal in helping build strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring our messaging aligns with Corumbene’s Vision, Purpose and Values.

For example:

  • Report to the Director of Business Excellence on operational and strategic risks through Risk Exception Reports.
  • Integrate risk thinking within all facets of the organisation to ensure the continued protection of consumers, staff, and the organisation
  • Provide support to the organisations business improvement plans
  • Schedule and conduct audits across the organisation
  • Analyse data from audits and formulate improvement plans
  • Lead a feedback process for policy/procedure development, audits systems and continuous improvement within designated time frames
  • Contribute to the maintenance of quality standards of consumer care by working with Department Heads to ensure that work practices comply with all relevant legislation, statutory regulations and best practice standards
  • Support Work Health and Safety and infection control quality standards and systems.
  • Support the effective operation of the WHS and Health & Wellbeing committees, including minute taking.
  • Maintain professional, effective, and open communication with all members of management and staff, consumers, representatives, volunteers and visitors.
  • Provide specific support to all managers in the pursuit of Quality, Risk and Compliance management.
  • Attend relevant training courses, meetings and education sessions including in service training as part of the staff development process

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated high level problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve ethical, effective, and efficient business practices with significant or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated IT skills, strong software system skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrated co-ordination skills including a focus on strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with a degree of autonomy.
  • Current National Police Certificate.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience in the aged care sector or understanding of the National Aged Care Quality Standards
