We’re looking for a Print Team Leader to carry those values forward and lead a younger team of workers to success. You would take responsibility for the production floor, ensuring jobs move efficiently through the print and fulfilment process.
Put simply, we can teach printing and embroidery. Processes to follow are all set already, they're simple to teach and we know them well. What we need in a Print Team Leader is excellent communication skills, the ability to plan and work well under time constraints and the assets required to lead, not through direction, but through leadership.
About the Role
As our Print Team Leader, you're responsible for overseeing the production process and planning, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are adhered to . You’ll need to be a strong leader, organized, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Management: Lead and motivate production staff in a positive work environment.
• Production Oversight: Manage our production, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Fulfilment Oversight: Manage select clients that we hold stock for and fulfil as required.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine workflows to optimize speed, minimize waste, and improve output.
• Workflow & Scheduling: Plan and organize production schedules to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
• Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality checks to maintain consistency in prints and embroidery.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure all machines are properly maintained and running smoothly, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Inventory Management: Work with procurement to maintain necessary stock levels of inks, threads, garments, and consumables.
• Problem Solving: Quickly resolve any production issues that arise, from machine malfunctions to order discrepancies.
What We’re Looking For:
• Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
• Experience in a print shop, apparel production, or related manufacturing role (preferred).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of screen printing, DTG, DTF, embroidery machines, and production techniques (preferred).
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using production management software.
