Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their team and hit the ground running! This is a short term contract and you will be mainly responsible for compliance, monthly reporting and supporting AP/AR.

Our Victorian Government client is a large-scale entity, based in Melbourne CBD.

Description

Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant, you will:

• Lead statutory reporting and compliance obligations
• Assist with month end, reporting & journals entries
• Work collaboratively with other departments & finance functions
• Streamline accounting procedures and operations.

Other duties will also apply.

Profile

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor in commerce, or similar field
• CA/CPA qualified
• 3+ years experience in accounting, audit and assurance with Victorian Government experience is essential
• Highly skilled with Excel, and is confident with XLOne reporting
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
