About the role

As the Breakdown Maintenance Supervisor at Recycling Plastics Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment. This full-time position is based in Kilburn, SA, and you will be responsible for overseeing the breakdown maintenance and repair activities of our production facility.

What you'll be doing

• Providing technical leadership and guidance to the maintenance team on the diagnosis and repair of equipment breakdowns
• Coordinating the timely resolution of equipment issues to minimise downtime and maximise production output
• Analysing maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborating with the production teams to optimise equipment performance
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
• Managing the maintenance budget and resources to achieve operational and financial targets
• Mentoring and developing the skills of the maintenance team

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in a breakdown maintenance supervisor or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a maintenance team
• Proficiency in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
