Alice Springs Hospital is an accredited modern 207-bed teaching hospital providing services to adult, aged and paediatric populations living in Alice Springs and surrounding regions, covering a vast catchment area of almost one million square kilometres. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a remote setting that will contribute to the continuum of patient care by managing, coordinating and providing a high quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate respiratory and medical physiotherapy services in an acute inpatient setting.
New graduates applying for a P1 role will be supported through networks with other new graduate physiotherapists as well as mentoring and supervision with senior physiotherapists. Physiotherapists applying for a P2 level will require acute clinical experience. Both roles require a demonstrated awareness of multicultural issues and their impact on clinical practice, and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures. You will be involved in contributing to continuous quality improvement, participation in weekend rosters, departmental audits and coordinate and support student supervision within the department.
All applicants will possess relevant qualifications in physiotherapy that meets membership eligibility requirements of registration with the Australian Health Professions Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a physiotherapist.
NT Health provides a generous salary plus 11.5% super, relocation assistance and a yearly professional development allowance. Staff accommodation, if available, can be provided for the first six months (first 4 weeks fully paid by NT Health).
