The Role

A major industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to take ownership of tax compliance, reporting and governance for a 1 year contract. This is a key role within the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate tax obligations are met while providing expert advice on tax-related matters. The successful candidate will oversee tax calculations and reporting, manage indirect and direct tax returns and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive best practice in tax governance. With a focus on continuous improvement, this position will also contribute to developing tax policies and procedures to enhance compliance and efficiency.

Experience Required

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

• A strong background in corporate tax compliance, including income tax, GST, fringe benefits tax and business activity statements
• Experience in preparing tax effect accounting calculations and related financial disclosures
• Proven ability to provide tax advisory support and risk management guidance
• Familiarity with external audits and liaising with tax authorities and consultants
• Big 4 or Mid Tier trained
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
