About the role
The ideal candidate will offer a strong mix of skills around leading a fun and energetic team, being a great communicator, ability to plan and coordinate the project to the relevant legislative and code compliance, have a willingness to learn and be an ambassador of the RIS culture and values.
The role requires the successful candidate to be a true leader and lead by example in all aspects of the project installation and completion to the highest standards , this involves but is not limited to, the resourcing of projects, quality control, employee training, development and safety of the crew to deliver on installation projects in a range of height safety products including: Access platforms, Ladder systems, Abseil Monorail systems, Anchor Points, Static Lines, Walkways and Handrails, to a variety of buildings on new construction sites within the Melbourne metropolitan area.

About the role

The role requires the successful candidate to be a true leader and lead by example in all aspects of the project installation and completion to the highest standards , this involves but is not limited to, the resourcing of projects, quality control, employee training, development and safety of the crew to deliver on installation projects in a range of height safety products including: Access platforms, Ladder systems, Abseil Monorail systems, Anchor Points, Static Lines, Walkways and Handrails, to a variety of buildings on new construction sites within the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The desired criteria is as per the following:
- Must have 2 or more years experience in the height safety industry
- Have significant experience in the installation of height safety products and detailed knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards (Essential)
- Be a true leader and lead by example
- Proven 1-2 years experience in leading, motivating and maintaining a fun, energetic and safe work environment
- Be able to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Ability to work to a timeline
- Be a team player
- Be able to operate power tools
- Have current drivers license
- A construction trade background
- Have a safety first mindset
- Ability to complete SWMS and advise on WHS risks
- Able to provide first aid assistance
- Capable of working at heights and in restricted spaces.
- Demonstrated Quality driven work
- Ability to keep all stakeholders informed regarding the project status and reporting
