Due to a continually expanding client base, we are searching for suitable RN's/EN's/ AINs/ Home Care Workers/Support Workers and Nursing Students who are able to fulfil regular and ongoing care visits with Nurse Next Door. Multiple positions are available within the Hunter region, from Maitland to Scone and everywhere in-between.

What your Job Responsibilities will be:

Provision of skilled and quality in-home caregiving:

• Personal Care
• Manual Handling (including wheelchair transfers, variety of lifting machines including sling hoist, sit to stand lifter etc).
• Mealtime assistance
• Catheter/Bowel/PEG tube care
• Companionship
• Medication Administration
• Light Housekeeping
• Assisting clients to access the community
• Running errands for clients
• Skilled Nursing Service (for RN's and EN's)

To be successful in joining the Nurse Next Door | Maitland team you will have the following:

• Relevant qualifications and ability to provide evidence of said qualifications
• A current drivers licence and reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel to client homes within our territory of the Hunter region
• Current Working with Children’s Check (WCCC)
• Current NDIS Worker Screener (NDISWC)
• Evidence you have completed the NDIS Orientation Module
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent communication skills, being courteous and respectful. Being able to speak fluent English both verbal and written.
• Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, suited to your own schedule to the best of our ability. However, our clients needs come first!
• Current experience in community care, home care, support work or AIN is highly desirable.
• A self led leader with a the ability to take responsibility for your own behaviour & success however are coachable to learning to do things the ‘Nurse Next Door’ way.
