About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our dedicated team at My Playhouse, a leading childcare provider in Sydney. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care. This is a full-time position based in our centre located in Sydney, NSW 2000.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, prepare and serve well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Collaborate with the Centre Manager and educators to understand the dietary needs and preferences of the children
• Comply with all relevant food safety and health regulations
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in childcare catering
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or food preparation, with experience in a catering or childcare setting
• Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and current dietary guidelines for children
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure meals are prepared on time
• Ability to work collaboratively with the centre team to meet the needs of the children
• Passion for providing high-quality childcare and a commitment to the wellbeing of children
