About the Role:
Our State Government client is seeking an AO6 Project Officer (Active Transport) to join the team on a temporary basis. Commencing late March, the role will be offered as an initial 12-month contract with likely 12-24 month extension. Working 36.25 hours per week, the casual hourly rate will range $77.02 to $82.40 plus super.
Managing and delivering a range of projects aimed at encouraging active transport, including cycling and walking, you will oversee community-driven initiatives, education campaigns and grants programs, while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include supporting research and strategy development, managing communication efforts and creating engaging content to promote active transport options.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in project management, contract management and stakeholder / community engagement in active transport or related fields such as sport / physical activity promotion and behaviour change;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Highly organised with the ability to work autonomously, under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools; and
- Previous experience in state or local government is highly regarded.
