Are you passionate about helping others grow and succeed in their careers? We’re looking for a dedicated and hands-on Warehouse Operations Trainer to be part of our exciting new Distribution Centre (DC) in Tullamarine!

In this role, you’ll design and deliver practical training programs that give our warehouse team the skills and knowledge they need to stay safe and excel in their jobs. Your expertise will be essential in creating a strong culture of safety and teamwork in our warehouse

Day to Day you will:

• Assess the training needs of employees and tailor programs to address specific compliance and safety issues.
• Create easy-to-understand training modules focusing on safety rules and regulations that are essential for our warehouse operations
• Deliver practical toolbox talks and engaging training sessions using a variety of instructional methods (classroom, hands-on etc.) tailored to different learning styles and job functions within the distribution centre
• Review and interpret applicable compliance requirements to ensure training content reflects current regulations
• Maintain accurate records of training participation, assessments, and certifications
• Provide support and guidance for safety committees and initiatives, promoting a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
• Work closely with the safety officer to analyse safety incident reports and employee feedback to continually improve training materials and processes.
• Check how effective our training programs are by gathering feedback, assessments, and observing on-the-job performance to ensure everyone understands and applies safety practices
• Pitch in with picking and packing when needed to support the team and operations
  

About You:

• Forklift licence/certificate (MHE) including high- reach is essential
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
• Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and food safety standards would be advantageous
• A positive attitude towards safety and compliance culture in the organisation
