Bhaiyaji's is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and service. If you have a creative flair for food, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Create, cook, and serve meals that align with our program while demonstrating a strong understanding of portion control and efficient food production methods.
Monitor portion sizes, food consumption, and waste management to ensure profitability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Bring your creativity to the table by developing new seasonal recipes and providing ideas that can be made profitable.
Oversee the entire kitchen operation, ensuring smooth operations and fostering teamwork among kitchen staff.
Review food and beverage purchases, create enticing dishes, and train cooks and food prep personnel.
Maintain strict food safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
Perform quality checks to ensure fresh ingredients are used and inventory is properly managed.
Organize menus, maintain consistent portion sizes, and guarantee top-quality food.
Ensure the kitchen workspace is organized, tidy, and operational with well-maintained tools and supplies.
Responsible for placing orders and keeping a healthy supply of food inventory.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef, with a focus on a variety of Indian food recipes, presentation methods, and plating styles.
A deep understanding of the wide variety of Indian spices and cooking implements used in traditional and modern Indian cooking.
The ability to modify recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced culinary environment while maintaining food quality and presentation.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and the ability to uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene.
Thorough knowledge of food safety and health regulations, with the ability to enforce them consistently.
Cert IV or above in Commercial Cookery is required.
Salary:
$74,000 - $80,000 per year plus superannuation.
