Fuse Recruitment are sourcing for Maintenance Fitters across Mid and afternoon shifts for a client based in Chullora specialising in Dairy based products and to become part of their dynamic and progressive maintenance team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• As A Maintenance Fitter you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with Maintenance Electricians, Operators and Process Engineers to ensure that Equipment and Production machinery reliability is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
• As a strong team player the Maintenance Fitter will be willing to work and collaborate to assist operationally outside the areas of core responsibility and contribute to building a high performing team culture.
• This plant is not a food manufacturing based plant. This client works with finished dairy products that are then sold into the retail and food service industries.
• The 18 lines you will service are across product cutting, shaping and packaging and consist of manual, automated and robotic machinery.
• These are Very mechanically orientated hands on roles working in a very supportive Maintenance Team consisting of up to 10 staff per shift.
• You also have your own dedicated Maintenance Team Stores Department onsite for parts and machinery operation / Welding duties as well.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working days:

• Working Monday to Friday (No weekends)
• 12pm to 9pm roster or;
• 3:30pm to 1am roster

Duties:

• Carry out Preventative and Breakdown maintenance to plant and equipment within the production facility to ensure the plant is run smoothly and can produce products in line with factory schedule
• Document Completed works
• High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.
• High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.
• Participate in repair and maintenance of all site plant and equipment. (Welding duties required)
• Complete services to machinery to ensure issues are identified and resolved before they occur.
• Take the lead on delivery of smaller projects to scope/user requirements.
• Participate in repair and maintenance of all site plant and equipment.
• Welding required onsite is across Mig, Tig and Stick welding practices
• Knowledge of and promote safe work practices.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

• Trade Certificate and/or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years previous experience in a Food Supply / Manufacturing environment with experience in dairy products preferred
• Welding experience across Mig, Tig and Stick
• Forklift license (preferred)
• Electrical disconnect/reconnect advantageous
• Elevated work platform (EWP) over 11 m
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to maintain a hands-on approach when required.
• Knowledge of WH&S requirements within a production environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety
