About the Position
As the Events Manager at Bond University, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating a wide array of high-profile events that are integral to the university's annual calendar. This position demands exceptional organisational and leadership skills to manage a cohesive team, ensuring the seamless execution of events that enhance the university's brand and meet stakeholder expectations.
You will collaborate closely with various faculties, marketing staff, and external partners to deliver outstanding events that support the university's strategic goals. Your expertise in event management, coupled with your ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain high standards of professionalism, will be key to your success in this dynamic and rewarding role.
About the Person
The ideal applicant will have:
- A degree and/or relevant experience in event management, sales, hospitality operations, external relations, and marketing.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading, managing, and inspiring teams.
- Ability to project manage events and lead meetings and provide strategic recommendations to event hosts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple events in a complex environment, from planning to post-event evaluation.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience handling event logistics and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including drafting invitations, publications, and routine correspondence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and event management systems, with experience in sponsor and corporate partner relations.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $93,419.65 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
