Direct Solutions is a boutique rehabilitation provider seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Consultant to support our growing team in Sydney. This role focuses on case management of Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) clients and Workers’ Compensation cases, with the opportunity to expand into team leadership activities for the right candidate.

Your Role:

Case management with physical and/or psychological conditions.

Assessment of rehabilitation needs and development of tailored rehabilitation plans

Facilitation of successful transitions from the Australian Defence Force to civilian life

Coordination of return-to-work programs (vocational assessments, functional capacity evaluations, work trials, and job placement)

Delivery of non-return-to-work plans, focusing on treatment and psychosocial engagement

Application of evidence-based early intervention and occupational rehabilitation services

Motivational interviewing to enhance engagement in meaningful occupations

Liaising with key stakeholders within a multidisciplinary clinical context

Completion of high-level reports

Potential for leadership activities, mentoring junior consultants, and contributing to service development

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking highly motivated Rehabilitation Consultants with a passion for helping individuals recover and thrive. Ideal candidates will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy

Strong connections within the Workers’ Compensation industry

Experience in occupational rehabilitation, case management, and return-to-work coordination

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Registration with a relevant professional body

Comcare Accreditation

DVA experience (preferred but not essential)

National Police Check & Working with Children Check

Mental Health First Aid Training

Experience in occupational rehabilitation

A strong passion for health and wellbeing

Excellent communication & organisational skills

A current driver’s license
