We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef to join our team and help us create delicious, nutritious meals for the children in our care.

The Role
As our Centre Chef, you will play an essential role in preparing balanced, healthy meals for children aged 0-5 years. You will work closely with our educators and families to accommodate dietary needs, food preferences, and cultural diversity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about children’s nutrition and enjoys creating fun, child-friendly meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare daily fresh, nutritious meals and snacks that comply with dietary guidelines and food safety standards.
• Cater to allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements.
• Ensure kitchen operations comply with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Work collaboratively with the team to design seasonal menus that encourage healthy eating habits.
• Communicate with families regarding children’s nutritional needs and preferences.
• Engage children in learning about food through fun and educational cooking experiences.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Current Food Handling and Food Safety Certificates.
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within early childhood settings.
• Knowledge of nutritional requirements for young children.
• Ability to cater to allergies and other dietary needs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A passion for working with children and promoting healthy eating.
