About the Team
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Western Australia (CAMHS WA) is forming Acute Care and Response Teams (ACRT) to serve the North, East, and South Metro Perth regions.
The ACRT is a new service model, providing urgent and intensive mental health support to children and adolescents experiencing a crisis or deterioration in their mental health. The team provides care seven days a week between 8:00 AM and 8:30 PM on weekdays; and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends and public holidays. Care will be provided at home or in a community setting, reducing the need for hospital admissions.
