About the Role

This exciting role & opportunity exists at Australia’s largest small stock processing plant located in Tamworth, Australia’s country music capital & the heart of the New England. Where you'll work and lead a diverse team who align with our values & are passionate and empowered to perform at pace & achieve big things.

The Projects Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure successful delivery of the projects. This role will coordinate the development of design, budget, approval – both internal and regulatory, construction and commissioning of multiple projects concurrently.

• Project development and delivery including design coordination; budget; tendering; approvals; delivery; cost management and schedule management.
• Liaise with management and production personnel to understand project requirements. Ensure all stakeholders are well informed of the project deliverables and outcomes.
• Attend and coordinate weekly project meetings.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size concurrently.
• Building Certifiers, and Insurers.
• Develop scope of work documents to enable quotes to be sourced from multiple vendors for all components of the project.
• Assist with drafting of CAPEX documents for TFI Board approval
• Engage and coordinate contractors for the project.
• Coordinate contractor WHS requirements in accordance TFI WHS policies.
• Establish strong communication strategy to ensure management, maintenance and contractors are kept well informed of progress through all phases of the project. This will include regular reports, meeting minutes, progress reports and Gantt charts.

The Quality Ingredients for Success

Just like our best cuts of meat, there are a few essential qualities that we need & look for in this role:

• Tertiary certification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required.
• 5+ years minimum project management within FMCG

• $90,000 - 150,000k Salary Range
• Full Time - 38 hours per week
