Great opportunity for Python Developer with proven Python 3 Development experience, required for an exciting cutting-edge project in the NSW Government sector.

This opportunity
Working in a highly skilled team of I.T professionals, this role will focus on performing Python development in a project to undergo ingestion queue development, transcription ingestion and automate reporting and management of digital assets, for this NSW Government organisation. This is a highly exciting role, to work with some of the best in the business, within an innovative and supportive environment. This initial contract will be for 3 months with further extensions highly likely and will be performed working from the client’s Sydney CBD based offices 2 days per week, which also allows the flexibility to work from home most 3 days per week.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years Python 3 Development experience in total
• 4+ years Linux & Shell Scripting experience
• 3+ years SQL, Excel and Python OpenPyxl and/or PyExcel experience
• Proven experience of the following: REST, SOAP, Git, JSON, XML, GitHub and understanding of secure programming practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice-to- have skills and experience

• Proven experience of designing ETL Pipelines, AWS Services and Docker
• Previous NSW Government, Banking or Telco experience
• Certified in Python
