ABOUT YOU:
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Ringers Western Perth DFO retail store, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers while driving sales, operational efficiency, and staff performance. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong leadership, and the ability to manage store operations effectively to align with company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Experience & Sales Performance
- Deliver an exceptional customer service experience that reflects the Ringers Western brand.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to provide accurate advice on pricing, features, and availability.
- Assist customers in finding products that meet their needs, encouraging repeat purchases and brand loyalty.
- Implement and monitor in-store sales strategies and promotions to drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Store Operations & Inventory Management
- Ensure the store is clean, well-organised, and visually appealing, with accurate product pricing and displays.
- Oversee stock levels, liaise with warehousing to arrange stock transfers, and ensure timely replenishment of products.
- Notify the National Store and Outlet Manager when stock levels are low or products are out of stock.
- Conduct periodic stocktakes and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Arrange for damaged or defective goods to be repaired or replaced as needed.
Staff Management & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to achieve performance goals.
- Manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and efficient store operations.
- Train team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with Ringers Western’s values.
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers, process payments, and handle refunds/store credits in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of store budgets, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Monitor and report on store performance, including sales trends, customer feedback, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and retail regulations.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a fashion or lifestyle brand.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Experience in inventory management, cash handling, and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems and retail software is advantageous.
Working Conditions
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and peak retail periods as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and unpacking stock.
- Travel may be required for store-related activities or training sessions.
