We are seeking an experienced and passionate HSEQ Advisor to join our team and help continue driving our commitment to a safe and compliant workplace.

What’s on offer?

As our HSEQ Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of driving Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives across our Wetherill Park facility. With over five years of experience in HSEQ or similar roles, you'll leverage your expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, shape and maintain our safety management systems, and guide our team in creating a culture of safety excellence.

You will work closely with various teams to enhance safety practices, monitor and adapt policies to ensure alignment with current legislation, and assist with documentation for tenders, and ongoing projects. Proactively identifying potential risks, you’ll implement effective risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the workplace remains safe for all employees.

Your role will also involve providing expert HSEQ guidance to both senior management and staff, delivering comprehensive training programs, and ensuring adherence to established safety protocols. As a key liaison, you’ll collaborate with clients to meet their specific HSEQ requirements, ensuring that all projects meet the highest safety standards.

About you

This role will suit an ambitious and energetic person with demonstrated experience in working hands-on with operational teams to manage HSEQ and build capability in a fast-paced environment.

Your ability to engage with staff and leaders at all levels, and make a positive impact in the business through strong processes and effective communication will see you succeed in this role, as will:

• Hold a minimum Cert. IV in Workplace Safety (Diploma preferred), showcasing your commitment to professional development.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment (desirable).
• 5 years’ proven track record in HSEQ roles, ideally within the building and construction sector, preferably precast concrete.
• Be competent in maintaining accredited HSEQ management systems.
• Possess a current driver's license and hold a National Construction General Induction Card.
• National Silica and Asbestos Awareness.
• Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and safety systems.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation.
